During the 2023-24 school year, Falmouth Public Schools participated in an equity audit conducted by the Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium (MAEC). On May 28th, Ms. Jenny Portillo, Senior Education Equity Specialist at MAEC, presented a brief summary of the audit findings to the Falmouth School Committee. We are pleased to share the broader audit findings with our staff and families. On June 10, 2024 we are holding a Community Forum at 6:30 pm in the Falmouth High School library facilitated by Ms. Portillo. This will be an opportunity for us to engage in meaningful conversations and gather valuable insights from our school community as we begin to make recommendations for next steps in the district’s strategic plan.
MAEC developed this quick snapshot of the results as a preview to our Community Forum. Additional data will be provided at the forum.
Our ultimate goal is to fully understand the equitable aspects of Falmouth schools. This understanding is essential as we strive to make our learning community a place of opportunity and inclusion for all of our students.
